Windmiller, a sophomore softball pitcher at Sacramento City College, had a 27-1 record, including 10 no-hitters and five perfect games, for the 54-3 Panthers. She did not allow an earned run during the season.

Jason, 11, won three titles at the AAU trampoline and tumbling championships. He won the 11-12 age-group advanced tumbling, the 11-12 advanced double minitrampoline and the elite boys double minitrampoline crowns.

Pele, a senior outside hitter for the state runner-up McKinley High girls volleyball team, was named a high school All-America after leading the Tigers in kills, blocks and assists. She was also all-state in basketball.

Art, 64, a retired police officer, set a U.S. 60-64 age-group bench-press record in the 181-pound class by lifting 277� pounds. He surpassed by 2� pounds the 1992 record of Bill Ramsrud of Grants Pass, Ore.

Heather Jones
AUDUBON, PA.
Jones, a sophomore attack on the Rutgers women's lacrosse team, led the Lady Knights with 48 goals this season. She scored four or more goals in a game eight times, including an eight-goal spree against Hofstra.

Derek Hacopian
POTOMAC, MD.
Hacopian, a senior rightfielder at Maryland, established ACC single-season records for batting average (.490), slugging percentage (.938) and on-base percentage (.618). He also set a school mark of 23 homers this season.
