Only Three?

Grambling Coach Eddie Robinson 's 400th win, which he got last Saturday by beating Mississippi Valley State 42-6, is only one of the milestones that he has reached in his 54-year coaching career. He has sent 205 players to the NFL and countless others to successful careers in education, medicine, the law and other professions. However, perhaps because of the difficulties blacks have had getting coaching jobs, only three of Robinson 's former players—excluding five of his current assistants—have followed him into the coaching ranks at the pro or college levels.
