Perrin, a center, and St. Louis, a rightwinger, play on the Vermont ice hockey team and rank as the NCAA's leading scoring tandem this season. Through 17 games, Perrin and St. Louis, both juniors, have 10 goals and 24 assists and seven goals and 23 assists, respectively, for the 12-3-2 Catamounts, who are ranked No. 9 in the country. Perrin is fourth in the nation in points (with 2.0 per game); St. Louis, who leads the nation in assists per game, is third in points (with 2.15). The linemates have 107 goals and 208 assists between them in their 2� seasons at UVM. Known as the French Connection, they have been playing together since they were 10 years old. Denise Anderson Marni Anderson Denise, 46, and her daughter Marni, led Alexandria Jefferson High to a 28-0 record this season and a 15-6, 15-5, 15-11 victory over Chaska High to win its first Class AA girls' state volleyball title. Alexandria Jefferson did not lose a single game the entire season. Denise, who has coached the Cards for 16 years and has led them to the state finals in three of the past five seasons, has a career 369-103 record. Marni, a senior setter on the team and the Cards' leading server with a 96% serve percentage, had 27 assists in the '95 title match. Marni had 562 assists this season and a total of 1,250 for her three-year varsity career.
