Remember when the only blue and red you saw in a hockey game were the lines on the ice? Fox Sports ' "FoxTrax"—the blue circle around the puck and the red comet tail that appears behind the puck when it's shot or passed—permits the new fan to more easily follow the path of the biscuit, no doubt. But for hockey purists, the innovations get in the way. Listening to Fox's animated analyst John Davidson talking a blue streak during the Stanley Cup finals obviates the need for the puck to become a red one. Some of us can't get through the first period without having a Hale-Bopp flashback.
