Tyler Ebell, VENTURA, CALIF.
Football
Tyler, a senior tailback at Ventura High, has carried 289 times for 3,537 yards and 52 touchdowns to become the fourth player in the state to rush for 3,000 yards in a season. Tyler, who has gained more than 300 yards in eight of the Cougars' 11 games, will play for UCLA next year.

Theresa Maru, KIPKARREN RIVER, KENYA
Cross-country
Maru, a sophomore at Tulane, won the Conference USA women's championship by covering the 6-km course at Saint Louis University in 21:06.93 to finish 13.82 seconds ahead of Marquette sophomore Susan Barth. Earlier this season Maru set a school 5-km record of 16:34.36.

Audra Falk, CINCINNATI
Tennis
Audra, a senior at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, won her third consecutive Division II girls' state championship, defeating senior Morgan Landes of Huron High 6-2, 6-1 in the final. Audra, who finished the season 32-0, hasn't lost in high school competition since 1998.

Luke Kreamalmeyer, EDWARDSVILLE, ILL.
Soccer
Luke, a senior forward at Edwardsville High, led the Tigers to the Class AA boys' state title by getting a hat trick in a 4-1 defeat of Lincoln-Way High of New Lenox in the final. Luke, who finished the season with 38 goals in 29 matches, also had two goals and an assist in the semifinal.

Greg Kinser, PARAGOULD, ARK.
Volleyball
Kinser, 42, the girls' coach at Crowley's Ridge Academy, became the first volleyball coach in the state to win four straight titles when his Lady Falcons defeated Piggott High 15-3, 6-15, 18-16, 15-11 in the Class AAA final. Over the last four seasons Kinser's record is 149-5.

Shanna Vitale, HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y.
Field Hockey
Vitale, a senior midfielder at Lock Haven (Pa.) University, led the Lady Eagles to the Division II national crown by getting a goal and an assist in a 2-0 defeat of Bentley College of Waltham, Mass., in the final. Vitale, who scored 17 goals this season, paced Lock Haven with 11 assists and 45 points.
