With rain and protesters compounding the usual pressure, you had to have true grit to get through this year's Masters. Maybe that's why August National workers were spraying sand around. They said it was to improve traction for spectators—one of whom got some souvenir sand in the cuffs last Thursday while walking between the 2nd and 7th holes on the course.
