ON TARGET "Both the quarterbacks were like us, pretty much on the same scale. Their backup does the same routine as we do, and the portrayal of how little attention the coaches give the backup was very accurate. We [also] have the star quarterback who gets all the media attention. They got West Texas football dead-on: No matter how bad that team was, the stadium was filled."

OFF BASE "How dramatic all the players' lives are, like showing up to practice after drinking. They make it too much of a soap opera."

ON TARGET "Most of the stuff was real. They seemed to really be into the games like we are, and we sometimes make stuff for the football players [as the rally girls do in the show]. Last year we had football buddies. We made them candy baskets and baked things for them."
