Arcidiacono, a senior running back at Union College , rushed for 205 yards and three touchdowns in a 28--27 win over Worcester Polytechnic Institute. It was his seventh career 200-yard game, and he was named Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Northwest offensive, and Liberty League, player of the week.

Thomas, a sophomore outside hitter at Juniata College , was Commonwealth Conference women's volleyball player of the week for the second time, after helping the Eagles defeat Widener, Albright and Eastern. Russell , 18, defeated Roberto Marroquin 16--7 to win the gold medal in the 119-pound division at the 2006 National Police Athletic League Championships in Oxnard , Calif. The victory was his fourth national championship in the past two years, and he is ranked No. 1 in the bantamweight division by USA Boxing .

Sara, a freshman forward at Ballard High, helped the Beavers to two KingCo 4A Conference victories by scoring four goals in a shutout of Bothell and a hat trick in a 9--0 win over Franklin . She was named Star of the Week by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and The Seattle Times .

GUADALAJARA , MEXICO > Field Hockey

Campos, a senior forward at the University of the Pacific , scored all of her team's goals in a 5--1 win over Davidson to give the 10--6 Tigers their third consecutive NorPac Conference victory.
