Lizzie Barnes Barnes, a sophomore goalkeeper at Navy, has helped the team get off to a 19--0 start (the longest winning streak in the nation this season), allowing just one goal over that span. She leads NCAA Division I with an 0.06 goals-against average and a .982 save percentage, and she has 10 solo shutouts and 56 saves.
Golden Tate
Golden, a senior tailback and wide receiver at Pope John Paul II High, scored seven of the Knights' first eight touchdowns and leads the team in touchdowns (27), rushing yards (1,154) and receiving yards (447). He has 84 career touchdowns and 7,607 total yards, including 2,278 yards returning kickoffs and punts. Dimitrios Telonis Dimitrios, a senior goalkeeper at Manlius Pebble Hill, saved nine shots in a 1--0 victory over Faith Heritage to earn his 75th career shutout and break the national high school record set in 1997. He has been a starter for the Trojans since the eighth grade and helped the team to a 14-1-1 record with 72 saves this season. Shannon Taylor Taylor, a junior midfielder at Richmond , had her second four-goal game of the season in a 6--1 win over St. Joseph's. She has been named Atlantic 10 field hockey performer of the week five times this season. Taylor is tied for third nationally in points per game (3.47), and leads the 13--4 Spiders with 26 goals and 59 points. Klint Krieger Klint, a senior at Central High, won his second consecutive Wyoming Class 4A championship and helped the Indians win their third straight team title. Two weeks earlier he shot a one-under-par 71 to win the McDonald's Tournament of Champions at Ridgefield 's Country Club in Kingsport , Tenn.
