On the Nuggets, who through Sunday had gone 3--5 since Carmelo Anthony's return from a 15-game suspension:

" Allen Iverson (far right) looks like he's really trying to make it work: He defers to Carmelo (near right); he passes the ball to Carmelo. The one detriment I really notice is that Iverson's style of play slows them down in the half-court. He pounds and pounds the ball, and it has to be in his hands for so many seconds before he gives it up, and in that time everything around him shuts down. I don't think he's being selfish—it's just his style—but they might benefit by giving even more minutes to Steve Blake as a true point guard and making Iverson into a conventional shooting guard alongside Anthony at small forward. It might flow better that way."
