LAST YEAR Am�lie Mauresmo received $1.117 million for winning Wimbledon—a nice chunk of change, until you consider that Roger Federer took home $53,000 more for winning the same tournament. (Federer also received a nice gold cup; Mauresmo got what looks like an oversized cheese tray.) This summer the men's and women's winners at the All England Club will receive the same amount of loot, making Wimbledon the last of tennis's majors to award equal prize money to its champions.
