In a game versus B.C., the Sox saw an Eagles punter smack Dice-K's first pitch for a double—and new closer Joel Pineiro is struggling. The Wings fell to so-so Colorado. And while the Bucks' Michael Redd (above) went for 52 points, he lost and said, "I don't think it's good for me to score 50."

Oilers
How they feel (lousy after losing favorite son Ryan Smyth, page 82) is how they play. Last season's Stanley Cup finalists had lost eight of 10 to drop out of playoff contention. Said coach Craig MacTavish, "We're having a tough time winning."
