A Rare Pair

From 1974 to the present, college basketball has had fewer repeat champions (one) than any other major U.S. team sport. Yet from 1946 (when Oklahoma A&M won its second consecutive title) to '73, no sport had more repeaters (11, including Alex Groza, above, and Kentucky in '48 and '49) than college hoops.
