RED SOX PITCHER Brendan Donnelly so dislikes Mariners
outfielder Jose Guillen—the two have feuded since they were teammates in
Anaheim three years ago—that after he struck out Guillen on April 10, Donnelly
stared him down. Guillen shot back a mean look of his own. The benches emptied,
but no punches were thrown. Guillen said, "He can just send one of the
batboys to come and get me ... and we can take care of this like men." To
which Donnelly (above, right) said, "A comparable quote would be, 'Meet me
at the bike rack after school.'" The next move is Guillen's—and he just may
stick out his tongue.
