F. SCOTT FITZGERALD'S masterpiece was the tale of an extravagantly rich, mysterious New Yorker whose purported dalliances with a woman other than his wife led to his downfall. Canseco is following up his first book, Juiced, with a tale of an extravagantly rich, mysterious New Yorker whose purported dalliances with a woman other than his wife led to a lot of funny tabloid headlines. Canseco's Great Gatsby will be called Vindicated, which will contain dirt on A-Rod, whom he last week called a "hypocrite" on Boston radio station WEEI. ( A-Rod had no comment.) Canseco won't say if it is related to steroids, but he tells SI that the new book, due out this fall, will likely contain info about his conversations with baseball steroids czar George Mitchell. Says the scribe, "It should be a lot better than the first book."
