SATURDAY 11/3
Flames at Wild
Only one team has beaten Minnesota in regulation this year: Calgary , which turned the trick with a 5--3 come-from-behind victory on Oct. 24. The rematch is in the Twin Cities, where the Wild—the West's top defensive team—will meet a squad that's second in the conference with 3.4 goals per game. That's thanks to Jarome Iginla (right), who's tied for third in the NHL in scoring.

These guys can cover 26.2 miles in New York City faster than any car in rush-hour traffic. Beginning in front of the Today show cameras set in Rockefeller Center , American record holder Khalid Khannouchi (left) leads the pack of 134 runners hoping for a bid to Beijing . The streets of Gotham will see more action on Sunday, with the 38th running of the New York City Marathon.

Joe Calzaghe vs. Mikkel Kessler
The undefeated super middleweight belt holders will unite the title on Calzaghe's turf: the 74,500-seat Millennium Stadium in Cardiff , Wales . Calzaghe (43--0, 32 KOs) has been hyping the fight, but Kessler (39--0, 29 KOs) has been all but invisible, prompting Calzaghe to wonder about his opponent, "Is he in training camp or a witness-protection program?"

SI PICK OF THE WEEK

SATURDAY 11/3
LSU at Alabama
New Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban is facing the Bayou Bengals for the first time since he bolted Baton Rouge in 2004, but there's more involved than LSU trying to stick it to an ex-coach. With both teams holding 4--1 SEC records, this game will most likely determine the Western Division champ. The Tigers will focus on Alabama wide receiver D.J. Hall (above), who leads the conference with 95.5 receiving yards per game. In the Crimson Tide's last two games, a tight three-point win over Mississippi and a blowout of Tennessee , the senior has caught 24 balls for 325 yards and a pair of TDs.
