Knowshon Moreno
Knowshon, a senior running back at Middletown South High, ended his high school career with 6,264 yards rushing, becoming the second player in New Jersey history to top 6,000 yards. He set state records for touchdowns (128) and points scored (782) and led the Eagles to a 45-3 record during his career. Jason Garey Garey, a senior forward at Maryland, became the first Terp to win the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy, which honors the nation's top Division I soccer player. He led the nation with 22 goals and 51 points, helped the team to its first NCAA soccer title since 1968 and was named the offensive MVP at the College Cup. Lindsay Caldwell Caldwell, a junior at Wisconsin- Milwaukee, won all seven events she entered and helped the Panthers take the team title at the Wheaton Invitational in Wheaton, Ill. She set meet records in the 50- and 200-yard freestyle events and was named Horizon League swimmer of the week for the second time this season. Matt Hammer Hammer, a senior forward at Northern State, averaged 22.5 points in a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference victories and helped raise the Wolves to a No. 5 ranking in Division II.
