DOWNPLAY
A floored Kyle Taber awaits the dunk of Michigan State 's Drew Naymick in last Saturday's game between ranked Big Ten teams in Bloomington , Ind. Taber and the rest of the Indiana players got off the deck and erased an early 11-point deficit en route to an 80--61 victory. The atmosphere at Assembly Hall was especially charged after word came three days earlier that Hoosiers coach Kelvin Sampson had been accused by the NCAA of committing major recruiting violations. ( Sampson said he did not knowingly do so.) Sampson faced possible disciplinary action by Indiana pending the results of a university investigation to be completed by this Friday. For more on the scene in Bloomington , see Grant Wahl 's Insider at SI.com /basketball/ncaa.
