Jones, a sophomore goalie at St. Nortbert College, was named the Northern
Collegiate Hockey Association's player of the year for 2005-06. He finished the
season with seven shutouts and had 22 saves in a 5-1 victory over Lake
Forest--his 19th win of the season--which gave the Green Knights their fifth
NCHA championship.

Harris
, a senior guard at Washburn, led the top-ranked NCAA Division II
Lady
Blues to a 30-0 season and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics
Association conference championship. She led the team in scoring with 23.5 ppg
and scored at least 30 points nine times this season.

Scandone, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2002, was named US
Sailing's 2005 Rolex
Yachtsman of the Year. He beat seven former world champions to win the 2.4
Metre World Championship in Italy
and successfully defended his U.S.
Independence Cup/North American Cup title. Scandone, 39, hopes to compete in
the 2008 Paralympic Games.

Weima, a junior at Calvin College, led the women's swimming and diving team to
its second consecutive Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association
title. She
took first place in the 100-yard, 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle events and
200-yard freestyle relay and was named the MIAA's most valuable swimmer for the
third straight year.

Adair, a junior forward at Virginia Wesleyan, was named the Old Dominion
Athletic Conference men's player of the year. He scored a season-high 31 points
in the Marlins' 81-78 win over Randolph-Macon
for their second straight ODAC
title. Adair was named the tournament MVP for a second consecutive year.

Spencer, a jumper at Georgia
, became the first freshman to win a Southeastern
Conference indoor title, and she did it with a
conference-indoor-championships-record high jump of 6'2", which was also
her personal best. Her victory in that event helped the Bulldogs take their
first SEC
indoor team title.
