In the tradition of SI 's Sportsman of the Year, we periodically pay tribute in this space to men and women who represent the ideals of sportsmanship. Nicole Corriero Corriero, a senior at Harvard who this season tied the alltime collegiate ice hockey record (men's or women's) with 59 goals, cochairs the Harvard-Radcliffe Foundation for Women's Athletics. She also volunteers at Harvard Square Homeless Shelter. Joe Hale Hale, 55, president of the Cinergy Foundation, is competing in 7 on 7 in 7--seven marathons on seven continents in seven months--to raise money for the March of Dimes . So far he has completed four of the marathons and raised more than $130,000 for the charity. Peter Fuhrman Fuhrman, 48, an advertising executive, founded Bats, Balls, Gloves and Kids, a group that, working with The College of New Jersey, has collected 400 used bats and other baseball equipment from area athletes. The gear is sent to children in the Philippines . John-Henry Lambin John-Henry, a homeschooled sixth-grader who has asthma and dyslexia, has created a program called Kids Extreme, which provides support for young people with those conditions and encourages them to participate in skiing, golf and rock climbing. Mark Sherman and Jacob Carey
