She was named first team all-tournament and tournament MVP. Sintayehu Taye PORTLAND, MAINE > Track and Field Sintayehu, a freshman at Portland High, won the 1,600-meter run with a state-record time of 4:09.69 at the Maine Class A championships. He also won the 3,200 meters and was a member of the winning 4�800 relay team as the Bulldogs won their first state title in 26 years. Dani Hofer PALM HARBOR, FLA. > Softball Dani, a senior righthander at Palm Harbor University High, is the 2005 Gatorade National Softball Player of the Year.
