BRASSY ENTRANCE
Flanked by members of the Golden Band from Tigerland, LSU
players streaked onto the Superdome field before the BCS championship game on Jan. 7. In the end it was the Buckeyes who found themselves in a haze, losing 38-24.
NO LOOKING BACK
It was full speed ahead for Chevis Jackson
and LSU
after the senior cornerback's 34-yard interception return in the second quarter set up the Tigers' third TD, making the score 24-10 and effectively ending OSU's chances of getting back in the game.
BANNER MOMENT
LSU
continued its (purple and) golden age by becoming the first school to win two titles in the 10-year-old BCS era. After the game, Tigers players reveled in their Big Easy victory with family and friends at the Superdome.
