
CAREER: 1956-57 The contributions of this complete fullback can't be measured in numbers, although he led the SEC in scoring in '56 and '57 and rushed for 170 yards or more in a game twice. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in '76. CAREER: 2001-04 Webster started his LSU career at wide receiver but found his true calling at defensive back before his sophomore year. In his first season playing cornerback, he tied a single-game school record with three interceptions against Florida. GUS TINSLEY CAREER: 1934-36 A three-year letterman in baseball as well as football, Tinsley played both ways at end and led LSU to two SEC championships and two Sugar Bowl appearances. As the team's coach, Tinsley had a 35-34-6 record, the high point coming in 1949 when his team went 8-3.
