Green, a junior at Harvard , was the top collegiate finisher in the women's lightweight division at the CRASH B Sprints indoor rowing competition. She completed the 2,500-meter "distance" on an ergometer in 9:16.

Gardner Rowbotham
GUILFORD, CONN.
Rowbotham, 39, a freelance writer who received a heart transplant in 1989, won two tennis titles at the U.S. Transplant Games. With Joe Daly, a kidney transplant, he won doubles in the 18-30 and the 31-44 age groups.

PONCE , PUERTO RICO
Monasterio, a sophomore at the University of North Carolina , won three individual events and swam on four victorious relay teams at the ACC men's championships. He shared the meet's MVP honors.

Brenda Straight
EMERSON, IOWA
Straight, a sophomore guard at Nebraska Wesleyan, set the Division III women's record for three-pointers in a season, with 100. She broke by 13 the 1989 mark of North Carolina Wesleyan's Shannon Stobel.

Nicole Sims
PLAINFIELD , N.J.
Nicole, a sophomore at Plainfield High, set a national indoor girls' shot-put record with a throw of 51'9/". She broke the old mark, established last year by Stevanie Wadsworth of Hurst , Texas , by 1'1�".

Mark Benson
MOORESVILLE , IND.
Benson, 26, a computer-graphics artist, bowled three straight games of 267—for a series total of 801—the highest triplicate in state history. He broke the mark of 255 set by Jeff Bowman of Indianapolis in 1989.
