BRET WILLIAMS David, a freshman at St. Olaf College of Northfield, Minn., won the slalom title at the National Collegiate Ski Association Championships in Marquette, Mich. He also finished second in the giant slalom, behind Steve Plausteiner of Boston College. A week later David's older brother Bret, a 22-year-old freshman at Northern Michigan University, won the NCAA slalom championship at Stowe, Vt. The runner-up in that event was Jostein Masdal of the University of Utah. BOB BUSBY JANI JOHNSON Busby, a 30-year-old physics teacher who also coaches cross-country and track at Oak Park High, won the St. Louis Olympiad Marathon in 8� weather with a time of 2:21:08. He had also won the same race in 1975. Johnson, a 24-year-old graduate student in exercise physiology at Southern Illinois University who was running in her first marathon, led the field of 200 women with a clocking of 3:07:47. Her husband is Jan Johnson, a 1972 Olympic bronze medalist in the pole vault. JAMIE WISE
