OFFENSE: Billy Sims , a 6-foot, 205-pound senior tailback, led Oklahoma to a 24-22 victory over Missouri by rushing for 282 yards, including a 70-yard sprint for his 22nd touchdown of the season, the most in the nation. DEFENSE: James Otis, a 6'4", 200-pound freshman end for Mississippi , tackled Tennessee ballcarriers 14 times—13 by himself—and prevented a touchdown by racing crossfield to nab a runner as the Rebels won 44-20.
