Haley, an eighth-grader at Madison Ridgeland Academy, won the long jump at the Mississippi Private School Association's Class AAA high school championship meet, breaking the class record with a leap of 18'1/4". She also finished second in the 200 meters, with a time of 26.55.

Kyle Skipworth
RIVERSIDE, CALIF. > Baseball
Kyle, a senior catcher at Patriot High and a first-round draft pick of the Florida Marlins, set a state record with hits in 18 consecutive at bats; he reached base safely in 25 straight plate appearances. In 30 games he hit .543 with 13 home runs, 47 RBIs and 51 runs scored; he had an on-base percentage of .627.

Ryann Krais
METHACTON, PA. > Track and Field
Ryann, a senior at Methacton High, ran the nation's fastest time in the 400-meter hurdles (58.96) this season and defended her title at the Penn Relays. At the Class AAA meet she won the 300 hurdles (for the fourth time), the long jump (her third time) and the high jump.

Kayla Braud
EUGENE, ORE. > Softball
Kayla, a junior shortstop at Marist Catholic High, has extended her national high school hitting-streak record to 73 games, the last of which was the Spartans Class 4A championship victory; the previous mark was 46. She batted .645, with 65 runs scored, a .740 on-base percentage and 28 steals in as many attempts.

Chris Agorsor
SEVERN, MD. > Soccer
Chris, a senior forward at McDonogh School, was named Gatorade's national player of the year. He scored 24 goals and had eight assists in 15 games this season, and finished his high school career with 55 goals and 22 assists. A member of the U.S. under-20 national team, he will play at Virginia next fall.

Nathan Adrian
BREMERTON, WASH. > Swimming
Adrian, a sophomore at Berkeley, won the 50-meter freestyle (22.01) at the Mutual of Omaha Swimvitational. He also won two gold medals at the FINA short-course world championships, in the 100 free (a meet-record 46.67) and as part of the world-record-setting 4×100 freestyle relay (3:08.44).
